One of the few American sushi masters, James Beard Award-winning Chef and Owner Tyson Cole is a passionate student of the Japanese tradition. Cole has garnered substantial national attention, most notably a coveted spot on Food and Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs of 2005 list; a James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Chef: Southwest” in 2011; and a James Beard Foundation semifinalist spot for “Outstanding Chef” in 2016 among many others.
Now, he's inviting you to join him at a dinner for 10 at his noted restaurant, Uchiko. The meal will include 10 courses along with wine and sake pairings.
In addition to being a certified sommelier, Jessica Dupuy is a recognized writer for publications like Texas Monthly, Imbibe, Wine Enthusiast, The Guild of Sommeliers, SevenFifty Daily, Wine Review Online, National Geographic Traveler, Southern Living, Texas Highways, Fodor’s,and numerous others. She has also authored Uchi: The Cookbook, The Salt Lick Cookbook: A Story of Land, Family and Love, the Jack Allen's Cookbook, and two books with Southern Living - The United Tastes of Texas and The United Tastes of the South. Her cookbook, Tex-Mex Cookbook: Traditions, Innovations, and Comfort Foods from Both Sides of the Border, with James Beard Award nominee, Ford Fry will release in April of 2019.

In this wine tasting for 8, Jessica will serve you and your guests wines from around the world and from right here in Texas. Each wine will be served blind - with no knowledge of its origin - next to a Texas wine made with the same grape or in the same style.
